Certified vs Compliant: What’s the Difference?

When buying a safe, the wording matters.
“Complies with” ≠ “Certified.”

A certified safe is independently tested and graded (e.g. EN 1143-1). It’s trusted by insurers and proven to withstand real attacks.

A “complies to” safe just claims to meet standards - no testing, no grading, no guarantees.

That difference could be the reason your insurance pays out… or doesn’t.

Certified = tested, trusted, insurer-approved.
Complies to = untested, uncertified, risky.

At Challenger, we only supply fully certified safes — so you can buy with confidence.
